Traps That Block The Gospel
(1Cor.6:1-11)
Introduction: In today"s scripture, Paul is furious that there was a dispute between believers and they even brought this case to the court (v.5-7). It is not that believers must not go to the court or underestimate the jurisdiction. He was furious that they stood in the court because of struggles for taking control inside the church. Such problems result blockage of the Gospel and evangelism movement. We must be able to see traps that block the Gospel around us.
1. What are the traps (of evil Satan) that block the Gospel?
(1) It makes you busy because of your business.
1) Your business is important but the children of God must receive grace from God first.
2) It is first thing for you to enjoy the fact that God is with you.
3) The work of God takes place when your business takes place in the grace of God.
(2) It changes your priority
1) It changes your priority so that you cannot receive blessings from God.
2) The Gospel movement and the life movement are the main ministry because there is nothing more important than salvation.
(3) It makes you concern and focus on other things beside the Gospel.
1) It makes you be concerned about physical things so that you cannot enjoy the true blessings.
2) According to where your concern is, the result will vary in a very critical moment.
(4) It makes you use humanistic method.
1) It causes jealousy and dispute and blocks the Gospel by humanism.
2) The channels of Satan (scars and greed) that are open in you block you from receiving grace of God and causes dispute.
2. What is the solution?
(1) When you worry about true evangelism, everything in your past, present and future is resolved.
1) It is said, "seek first his kingdom and his righteousness" (Mt.6:33. True evangelism, gospel, and life
movement)
2) You must deeply think about evangelism and have assurance of the fact that you have been called as an evangelist. (2Cor.7:10)
3) You must think about only evangelism even compulsorily.(Mt.24-25, Act.1:8) → Every blockage will be removed.
4) God will give you problems in order to let you turn your interest into the evangelism movement, the gospel movement, and the life movement.
(2) The core things that you must possess for the true Gospel movement and the life Movement
1) You must grab hold onto the fact that Jesus is Christ and He resolves every spiritual problem. (Act.1:1)
→ Every problem of your past is resolved when you realize this fact. (You will be set free from sin, Satan, and the world)
2) If you are really thinking about evangelism, God"s kingdom (time) will come.
→ If you keep praying grabbing hold onto His promise, God"s kingdom will come upon every field of yours.
3) Just keep waiting for the filling of the Holy Spirit
→ The power that transcends every blockage will be revealed. Evangelism movement, life movement, and Gospel movement will arise.
Conclusion: Traps that block the Gospel will be removed only when life movement, gospel movement, and evangelism movement arise. Every problem will be resolved as well then. For this thing to take place, you just should think about evangelism. Grab hold onto today"s word, today"s prayer, and today"s evangelism. Especially church lay leaders should be used for raising 300 regional churches. Draw the picture of disciples arising from regional churches and regional economy being restored.
